“You will find, as you look back upon your life, that the moments when you have truly lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love.” – Henry Drummond
Alex & Crystal – Two very different souls brought together by love.
Alex is an avid runner, constantly seen with a huge smile on his face and a youthful never-say-never spirit. He has three big Cs in his life – Christ, Crystal and Cars.
Crystal is a lover of words, with a fiery passion for the art of writing and cooking and constantly carries with her a zest for life.
Their journey started way back when they were in the same church, and Alex used to lecture at the college that Crystal was studying in. Their only initial encounters were the casual ‘hi’s and ‘bye’s. Despite their differences, their mutual love for coffee, running and good books brought them closer as they ran several races together and got to know each other better. It was a coffee session at Genting Highlands’ Starbucks one fateful day, that they realized there was more to their friendship.
The rest as they say, is history 😉 (…with more stories in the making!)
In their wedding plans, they mentioned to us that there wouldn’t be any official tea ceremony nor ‘gate crashing’ sessions to fetch the bride, just a simple church ceremony and dinner in the evening – a slightly different approach than the traditional Asian Chinese ceremonies. Yet, in all its simplicity, it was a lovely reminder that weddings aren’t made up of the ceremonies but the people.
It was truly a joy and privilege to not only be a part of their special day, but to have been able to know Alex & Crystal better in the past year; through prior engagement shoots and good meals filled with lots of laughter 🙂
Thank you for trusting us to capture your stories, Alex & Crystal! Truly a shoot we will remember and cherish. Wishing you both many more beautiful moments together!
